My Journey
My career in the "wellness world" has been a rich and evolving adventure. I began with a focus on physical fitness, but my path soon led me to explore the mind-body connection when I started working in public education. There, I realized the profound link between physical activity and cognitive functioning, sparking my fascination with how our minds and bodies are an interconnected feedback loop. It's all connected, and we can use that to our advantage!
As mental health concerns and stress levels surged among students and staff, I developed a stress management course and, in the process, was introduced to Positive Psychology and the Science of Happiness. Learning about the SPIRE model of WholeBeing Happiness, which encompasses the Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Relational, and Emotional pillars of well-being, transformed my approach to teaching, training, and coaching. These insights didn't just change how I work; they changed how I live.
However, my personal journey was far from straightforward. Despite my training and education, I faced a series of baffling health issues that I couldn’t resolve: severe pain, rashes, allergies, asthma, GI troubles, insomnia, and unexplained weight gain. In addition, I was feeling overwhelmed by stress, lacking focus, feeling anxious, worried, and out of alignment with my goals in life. Conventional medicine offered only temporary fixes, leading me to explore Functional and Naturopathic Medicine and find some excellent doctors.(thanks to Dr. Jon Repole and Dr. Stephen Cabral!) This journey led me to uncover the root causes of my health struggles and inspired me to continue learning. I feel blessed to have continued my training and education with leaders in integrative health, mental health, positive psychology, and physical well-being. These experiences have empowered me to help myself, my loved ones, and many wonderful clients find their path to thriving.

At inSPIREd Integrative Health, my mission is to empower every client to flourish, cultivate positive mental health, and optimal well-being in alignment with their inner wisdom, values, and beliefs. As your coach, I will guide you through challenges by tapping into your unique strengths and helping you understand your power and unlimited potential.
What Sets Me Apart
My approach is deeply personal and holistic. With a Master's degree in education, coaching certifications in Positive Psychology, Happiness Studies, Integrative Health, and Menopause Coaching, and additional certifications as a NASM Personal Trainer and Behavior Change Specialist, I bring a wealth of knowledge to my practice. I tailor my services to the unique needs of my clients by addressing all pillars of well-being, developing a positive mindset, overcoming challenges, and making meaningful and lasting change.

Karen was wonderful! She coached me on healthy eating. I had several medical concerns and it required that I adjust my diet.
